The land is bounded as follows: beginning at Francis SMITHSON’s corner stake in RAGLAND’s line running along Ragland’s line north 70 degrees, east 88 poles to his corner pine and along his other line south 65 degrees, east 208 poles to his corner; from several saplings in Colonel Merriwether’s line and along the same line north 244 poles to a stake in his line; then west 380 poles to Francis Smithson’s corner red oak and along his line south 29 degrees, east 209 poles to the beginning. [The remainder of the deed is confusing, but I believe the premises on said land were sold to Elizabeth Merriwether for 200 Virginia pounds.]
